To prepare the pickled red onions : Slice the red onion into thin rings. In a small bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, sugar (or erythritol), and salt, then add the onion rings. Mix well and set aside.

Remove the cream cheese from the refrigerator and let it stand at room temperature for about 10–15 minutes to become spreadable. Then spread it evenly on a serving board. For an attractive appearance, you can create gentle waves or patterns with a spoon or spatula.

Tear the salmon into bite-sized pieces and distribute evenly over the cream cheese. Drain the pickled red onions and sprinkle them on top.

Garnish with fresh dill and, optionally, sesame seeds . The cream cheese board can be served with fresh bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
