SHEKO Success Story: Stepan and Anete
Anete and Stepan not only share their daily lives – but also their enthusiasm for SHEKO. The two have been a couple for eight years and for the past two years have been using SHEKO weight-loss shakes as a breakfast replacement. Tell us your story, you two. What does your everyday life look like?
“We have been together for eight years now and are newly married.”
It's not just their (professional) love of music that connects the two. Both Anete and Stepan are passionate about sports, and have been playing beach volleyball for the past two years. They've also always been interested in nutrition, researched meal replacement options, and came across SHEKO.

“I had wanted to try meal replacement products for a while. That's why I searched on Amazon, compared them, and finally found what I was looking for.”

SHEKO and intermittent fasting
“Two years ago we changed quite a few things: We started playing beach volleyball, tried SHEKO for the first time, and began experimenting with intermittent fasting .”
What does your diet look like?
“We’re both pretty lazy when it comes to making breakfast,” Stepan laughs, Anete agrees: “The strange thing is that we love to eat a good breakfast – but we lack the motivation to prepare it!”
Luckily, there's SHEKO: Their shakes save them a lot of time – yet they still get a delicious breakfast and don't have to miss out on enjoyment in the morning . Anete and Stepan also place great importance on a balanced, healthy diet. They don't want to deprive themselves of anything.

But the shakes are not only delicious and healthy, they're also practical: The couple is thrilled that they don't start the day on an empty or full stomach – they've found the perfect in-between solution. Thanks to SHEKO, they're also satisfied until lunchtime .
For the past two years, they have incorporated the 16:8 intermittent fasting method into their diet. This involves consuming food within an eight-hour window, followed by a 16-hour fasting period. The aim is to gently detoxify the body and potentially lose a few pounds.
Anete and Stepan have decided to generally not eat anything after lunch, so they skip dinner. It took some getting used to at first, but they got used to it over time. “And if I happen to be hungry in the evening, I always have a SHEKO shake. It's filling and easy on my conscience.”
They are generally not that strict with their diet . “For example, I’ve been a bit lax with intermittent fasting these past few weeks,” Stepan explains, “but we generally try to stick to it.”
What prompted you to try something new?
“That was real beach volleyball! When we started playing, we quickly realized: It's simply better if you can jump higher.”
For Stepan, the 'problem' wasn't related to his physique. His weight always fluctuates a bit – Anete doesn't see any difference, and he himself felt comfortable. The goal, therefore, was more about feeling fitter and healthier overall. They wanted to be able to jump higher in beach volleyball, be stronger, and generally place more emphasis on fitness.
Stepan has also lost some weight. But whether that was due to SHEKO, intermittent fasting, or exercise, he can't say for sure: "I started everything at the same time. It was probably the combination."

What do you like most about SHEKO?
“For me, it’s definitely the taste. From the beginning, there was also a certain curiosity involved: before we had tried all the varieties, we really wanted to know what they tasted like.”
Stepan is still a huge fan of banana, but he also likes to switch up his flavors. Anete often goes for the classic strawberry. Coffee or matcha, on the other hand, are her first choice when she's craving something sweet and doesn't have any chocolate at home.
Anete's and Stepan's tips
One of Stepan and Anete's favorite recipes: Put the powder in a blender with frozen berries, milk, and agave syrup and blend until creamy. They often whip up a delicious dessert this way!
How about mixing the different flavors? Strawberry and vanilla, for example, work great together.
For a while, the two of them mixed their shakes with rice and coconut milk. That way, it never gets boring!
There will always be days when you don't feel like sticking to your diet. Then do what Stepan did, who also let his intermittent fasting slide sometimes. The important thing is that you never lose sight of your big goal – then you can allow yourself a slip-up now and then!
