The excess weight came with the partnership.
In our SHEKO community on Facebook, you've been sharing your successes and thoughts on our Balance Shake since June. Your goal is to lose almost 10 kilos*, and you've already lost 6 kilos*. Where did the desire to lose weight come from?
"For as long as I can remember, I've maintained my normal weight. I never had any 'excess kilos' or felt uncomfortable. Since the beginning of the year, I noticed that my trousers were getting tighter month by month, until by summer they simply wouldn't fit anymore. The scale then confirmed what I already suspected: I had gained 8 kilos*."
Do you know how the increase came about?
"It's quite simple: I met my current boyfriend – and together we like to take it easy. We love spending time together on the couch, ordering delicious food, and watching a good movie. That's why I sometimes like to call those 8 kilos my 'happy' kilos. I don't want to speak ill of them, because I know they came about during happy times. But when my pants no longer fit, they didn't make me quite so happy anymore. So I thought about how 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach' could work without excess weight."
From Lady and the Tramp sharing a plate of spaghetti to a dinner spent enjoying time with friends and family around a set table – it's true, "the way to a person's heart is through their stomach." The saying is said to originate from the idea that cooking for someone else is a sign of affection. Furthermore, eating together in a relaxed atmosphere promotes relaxation and emotional well-being. This not only strengthens one's own personality but also relationships with others. Therefore, it's far more valuable to consciously enjoy a meal in company than to snack quickly and, above all, alone.
